These are short Wananga for Tamariki (Children) and Taiohi (Youth) aged 10 to 18yrs old which uses Tech, Music and Te Ao Maori (The Maori World) to Encourage Self Confidence, Creative Expression and Entrepreneurialism.

DJ Danny-ill has been providing DJ Classes over the past few years but the DJ Wananga is are a more recent Initiative created with the support from Te Putahitanga o te Waipounamu. In this section we will post details for any upcoming public DJ Wananga.

Our Team are open to speaking with people or groups about private lessons, or to book him to come and do a Workshop or Presentation with your School, Community Group or Organisation. 

 These Wānanga and Presentation cover things like:

  • Basic Te Reo Maori (Maori Language)

  • Tikanga Maori (Maori Customs and Practices)

  • Self Confidence

  • Creative Expression

  • Entrepreneurialism

  • Understanding Hardware & Software

  • Music Structure building a Library

  • Mixing

  • Scratching

  • Mixing Video 

The key learning will be a basic overview of what DJing is, the different aspects, roles and principals which are useful as these concepts can be applied in many fields and disciplines.
